I made a few quick, faux mock-ups with some magical paper that Stephanie Strickland gave me. You can recreate this idea by either photographing your own mannis, or getting images from the web, printing them about 5-6" tall, then cutting them out. For a little more longevity, they could be laminated! You can find images of our Image Mannis on http://www.patinav.com/ (This is a Flash site, so you may not be able to view it on a work computer....sorry, bummer.)
Long , long, long ago, during the last century, when I worked at 320 South Coast Plaza, we were doing some Spring Cleaning in one of our shops or offices and ran across these manni cards and I've have had them ever since. Printed on clear plastic at a 1" x1' Scale and presumably corresponding to mannis that the stores owned at the time, they could be placed on top of window renderings in order to help plan compositions. They are most likely from the late-1980's- 1990's, and either from Rootstein or more likely Patina V, when we used mannis with realistic wigs and make-up. There are some muy dramatico poses in there! Aaron, I love this! Let's make some laminated cards with the image gals on it for our existing windows to share with the NW teams.
